SECURITY REPORT (CLERY)

YOUR SAFETY IS OUR CONCERN

The personal safety and security of students, staff, and visitors, and the protection of property are high priorities at Central Wyoming College. The information provided in the is part of the college’s commitment to safety and security on campus. This report is prepared by CWC’s Department of Safety and Security to comply with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act). Paper copies will be provided upon request by contacting the Campus Security Director.

Creating and maintaining a healthy and safe campus environment requires the cooperation and involvement of everyone. All students, faculty, staff, and visitors must assume responsibility for their personal health and safety and the security of their personal belongings.

CWC’s Department of Safety and Security is located in Main Hall, room 107. The department consists of a one-armed director, two college interns and nights are covered by Off-Duty RPD Officers who are employed by the college.

Campus security officers are not sworn peace officers and cannot enforce city, state or federal laws. Officers are equipped with two-way radios for communication with local law enforcement.

The department maintains a working relationship with the local police agencies that have law enforcement jurisdiction on and around our main campus and our alternate sites.

This report is made in cooperation with those agencies, CWC’s housing department, and the student services division. This report consists of four parts: 1) Central Wyoming College’s policy statements and descriptions of programs, 2) sex offense procedures, 3) three years of on-campus and off-campus crime statistics, and 4) campus programs.
